The first part of the therapy is the talking part, whereby you will be talking about all the positive things that have happened in that week and really elaborating on it. the purpose of this is to encourage the client to be in their intellectual/positive mind as when you are using this part of the brain you are calm, relaxed, positive, and able to make sensible decisions. We will also review a little of what you will have learned about the brain in the initial consultation, by understanding how and why you are feeling and behaving the way you are, helps in the process of recovery. As previously mentioned you will focus on your preferred future and the small steps and changes you can make toward this.


The second half of the therapy consists of the trance part, which is really very ordinary. We are in a trance many times a day, it is when our minds daydream. For example you may be watching the television and you drift off daydreaming about something else and then return back to the television. Tailored language patterns will be read to you, whilst you are comfortably relaxing. Trance is when our conscious and sub-conscious minds come together and help to reinforce the positive and relaxing suggestive words that are read to you.
